Construction is progressing well and we are seeking expressions of interest from both prospective residents and staff (carers)
We are a local couple who are in the process of building three fantastic, bright and modern inter-connecting units which are designed to house disabled people who qualify for an SDA payment under the NDIS. One of the residents will be our son Noah, who suffers from autism and an intellectual disability. We wanted to design and build a place where our son will feel at home, and not like he lives in a "facility". We also intend to operate the home ourselves, to ensure high standards of care.
Whilst we have not yet finalised this decision, we expect that Unit 1 will be a short-term respite home (for up to 2 people), and that Units 2 and 3 will be homes for up to 4 long term tenants.
We are looking for a dedicated team of carers to staff the home. We want to be great employers in the disability sector and can offer flexibility and good pay and conditions. If you are an experienced carer we would love to hear from you.
The property is close to public transport (Oak Park Station).
If you are interested in applying to be a tenant, for respite care, or to work with us, please contact us.
